    2008/09 Pre-season Training

Pre-season training commences on Tuesday the 01st of July.Nick, James and I are busy putting a training plan together that we hope will give some variety to pre-season and really encourage people to come along and join in. With this in mind the first session will be held at the old Bowthorpe School Site (http://www.nelm.co.uk/documents/map.pdf) starting at 6.30pm.

    This session will consist of:

    Discussion around last season

Outline of plans / objectives for this season

Some fitness (there I've said it but please don't be put off by this!)

    Some fun

We are planning to run two session a week on Tuesday and Thursday's. Tuesday sessions for the first few weeks will be a Bowthorpe as the grounds there offer more variety for fitness, Thursday sessions will be a Sprowston. Both session will begin at 6.30pm and we will revert to both Tuesday and Thursday at Sprowston later in the summer.

We are really keen to ensure training is enjoyable for everyone and that it is tailored to the abilities of individuals so please come along, join in and give us your opinion.

Please pass this e-mail on to anyone who you think would be interested in playing or training (word of mouth is our best recruitment tool).

Many things have been said since we heard about the closure of Pinebanks and the members of the committee see this as a real opportunity to make our club into something we can all be proud of. But it will take more than the few people sitting on the committee to do that. I have heard lots of positive comments and lots of offers of support from people but now is the time to take action to back up those words. Training is the spine that supports a club and the numbers at training is always a reflection of the state of the club.

Please think about all the effort that has been put in already to get to where we are and how much more is required to get where we want to be. Then think about if you want to be a part of that. I hope the answer is yes and I hope you show your support by getting to training, joining in and having fun with your club mates.

    See you there!

    Cheers,

Graham Hunt (on behalf of Nick, James and I)

    Club Captain
